Safe Sport

USA Swimming and all USA club swim teams, including SVAC, are committed to the prevention of child abuse and misconduct of any kind. No forms of abuse or misconduct are tolerated by SVAC or USAS. In order to ensure compliance with club, local, national, and USAS policies, USAS employs Safe Sport, a comprehensive abuse prevention program through the US Center for Safe Sport.

There are six sections to the USAS Safe Sport framework:

  • Grassroots Engagement & Feedback
  • Policies & Guidelines
  • Screening & Selection
  • Training & Education
  • Monitoring & Supervision
  • Recognizing, Responding, & Reporting

Supplemental and supporting documents can be found at the bottom of this page. Additional information regarding Safe Sport can be found online here.
